Hey there! I’m Kaitlyn
Co-owner of The TBR Shelf, mom of two, and certified book hoarder with big dreams of swapping my 9-to-5 for a life surrounded by stories.
Chances are, if you see me, I’ve got a book (or three) nearby—one on my Kindle, one in my earbuds, and one I am physically reading. I read across all genres and fully embrace my “mood reader” personality. One day it’s a twisty thriller, the next it’s swoony romance or fae-fueled fantasy chaos—and I love every second of it.
My reading journey started with The Magic Tree House and Harry Potter back in kindergarten (yes, I thought I was super cool for reading those early), and fantasy has had a hold on me ever since. Life got busy, as it tends to do—but ACOTAR pulled me right back in, and I haven’t looked up from the pages since.
A few of my faves? The Perfect Marriage, A Court of Mist and Fury, Boyfriend by Freida McFadden, Love and Other Words, anything by Emily Henry, the A Touch of Darkness series, and Skyshade.
So, why a mobile bookstore?
Because books have been my constant—through every joy, every mess, every plot twist life throws my way. They've made me laugh, cry, escape, and feel seen. And honestly? I can’t think of anything more magical than sharing that kind of love with my kids… and with you, too.

Hi, I’m Alyssa! I’m a mom of two, a work-from-home corporate girly by day, but a wannabe dragon rider and badass fantasy heroine by night. I love coffee, wine, exploring new cities, and—of course—books.
ACOTAR started my fantasy obsession, but I’ve been a consistent reader my whole life (with a brief hiatus in my early adult years—something I’ve since learned is a universal experience for many readers 😅).
A few random bookish facts about me:
📖 My favorite childhood book was A Little Princess by Frances Hodgson Burnett.
📖 My favorite adolescent book was The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold.
📖 My current favorites? That depends on the genre! A Court of Mist and Fury, The Song of Achilles, The Nightingale, Yours Truly, Daisy Jones & The Six, and the entire Throne of Glass series have a permanent chokehold on my heart.
Owning a bookstore has always been a dream of mine—something I thought wouldn’t happen until retirement. Getting to share my love of books with my community (and my family—you’ll probably see my five-year-old at lots of markets!) is more fulfilling than I ever could have planned for at this stage in my life.

Hello, you! I’m Delaney - just a girl with a Chandler job, who’s obsessed with a good story and constantly waiting for my Hogwarts letter or an Illyrian Warrior to take me to Velaris (yes my teams background is the City of Starlight). Reading is my biggest and best personality trait, as I can easily be consumed by whatever I’m reading and will become emotionally attached to the characters. I feel all the emotions while reading and my husband often judges me for laughing while reading (I keep telling him it’s just a movie in your mind)! I have always been an obsessive reader, starting with Harry Potter, Narnia, and any Lois Lowry novel (my copy of Gossamer has seen better days). I am always reading 3 books at once - physical, kindle, and audio - and all my bags have to pass the kindle test because you never know when you’ll have a spare 10min.
I love all genres and try to rotate my reading so I don’t get stuck in one genre BUT I’m often a seasonal reader, so that really messes up my schedule! If it’s romance and pink covers I gotta read it in February, thriller / dark romance / fantasy give me winter vibes, and for the past two years I’ve only read Christmas themed books in Dec and it’s the best! (Those KU romances really help me to hit my reading goal!)
The books that live rent free in my mind are A Court of Mist & Fury, Part of Your World, Malibu Rising, Check & Mate, Butcher & Blackbird, The Song of Achilles, Things We Never Got Over, and of course The Empyrean Series! (To be a dragon rider or a dragon?!)
Reading is my passion and no matter the story I truly feel myself when I get to escape to these secret worlds in my mind. Being a Creative Assistant for The TBR Shelf is a dream! And I am grateful to be on this journey with friends to help create something that means a lot to us! I could talk about books forever and I can’t wait to meet and chat with you!
