Hey there! I’m Kaitlyn — owner of TBR Shelf Books, mom of two, and a certified book hoarder with big dreams of trading my 9–5 for a life fully surrounded by stories.

I’m a total mood reader, which means I almost always have multiple books going at once: one on audio, a couple physical copies, and usually one or two on my Kindle. At any moment, you can find me bouncing between a fluffy romance, a twisty thriller, something dark and spicy, or a rich fantasy world filled with morally gray characters.

My reading journey started back in elementary school with Magic Tree House, The Babysitters Club, Nancy Drew, and of course Harry Potter. I used to stay up way past my bedtime getting lost in a book… and not much has changed.

A few of my current favorites include pretty much anything by Freida McFadden, The Perfect Marriage by Jeneva Rose, Funny Story by Emily Henry, the entire Lightlark series by Alex Aster, all things SJM, The Blood Kingdom by Kate Cunningham, Smoke and Scar by Gretchen Powell Fox, and Wretched by Emily McIntire.

So why a mobile bookstore? Because books have always been the constant for me — through every joy, every mess, and every plot twist life has thrown my way. I can’t think of anything better than sharing that magic with my kids and with all of you.
